A Guide to Virtual GSAs

September 1, 2012 — The site A Guide to Virtual GSAs is one that will allow educators, with varying levels of understanding of LGBTQ needs, to find just what they are looking for. The site contains lessons, resources, links, quick handouts, activities, histories, media connections, and supports. Launched in May 2012, this is EGALE Canada’s national safer schools and inclusive education website for LGBTQ youth and educators.

The site offers information for three specific groups: Youth, Educator, and Parent. Each section provides those wishing to support LGBTQ youth an opportunity to increase their own awareness and to find support materials that are all centrally located in this repository. OSSTF/FEESO members were involved with writing the lesson plans for high school students.
