  Egale Canada Human Rights Trust, offers the educators of Ontario free workshops under the support and approval of the Ministry of Education. These workshops focus on sexual orientation, gender identity, language use, pronouns, bystander intervention, capacity building and so much more. They will provide foundational LGBTQI2S knowledge, various school based action plans, and progressive queer theory, leaving all attendees with the most up to date and accurate education. In addition, to our workshops Egale can provide educators with lesson plans based off current curriculum, Gender Sexuality Alliance (GSA) club tool kits, LGBTQI2S school language guides and policy review. If you, your school, or school board would like to request any of the above or have other questions or concerns please contact our Safer Schools program coordinator.

  E-Learning Ontario is pleased to offer a series of webinars for those boards implementing e-learning and blended learning (i.e., digital learning). Individuals wishing to attend one or more live webinars need only to access the appropriate link at the date and time listed.

  All webinars are recorded and archived for future anywhere-anytime access for those unable to attend them live. Links to recordings are available at E-Community Ontario (you will need the User ID and password for your board). Alternatively, the PDFs under Related Attachments contain direct links to the 2013-2014 webinars.

  This calendar reflects ministry-initiated professional learning and implementation support (PLIS) activities such as regional training sessions, provincial conferences, and activities taking place at the board level for teachers, principals and system leaders in the English-language system.

The project, funded by the Ministry of Education, has hosted a number of very successful conferences such as “Teaching and Learning in the 21st Century", "Media Violence" and "Critical Thinking." OTF continues to offer professional learning opportunities through OTF’s Online Teacher Resources and OTF Connects.
